Gun Moddling

Howdy! I’m up and back with my extremely delayed posts but as I always remind, what matters is that I still bother to do it.

Of course, needing to make excuses to you guys and making you feel bad turns me out to be complete trash but… meh.

Moving on to the actual reason as to why I didn’t post these pictures.

They were for a competition entry to model the gun I’m holding. Of course, the pictures have to be original and not visible anywhere on the web so I was not allowed to post them up till the results were out.

That being said, results were out at least two weeks ago so that makes me… extremely late on posting a very honest person with extremely high integrity.

I woke up extremely early for this shoot, mainly because the photographer wanted natural lighting and because I was heading into Malaysia later in the day.

I didn’t plan this shoot out very well and forgot to comb out my wig the day before. If I remember correctly, I forgot a hairnet as well so (either that or I was too lazy to put it on) I spent majority of the shoot tirelessly adjusting my wig to make sure my black hair wasn’t poking out from behind my ears.

I like this photo for reasons.

Here’s picture of Dom and I, both extremely worn out. Me from work and him from school.

I do have to thank him for taking all the above pictures for me. I really wanted the pictures for my cosplay-gram (@elmeleanor follow me! LOL.) so that I could post a few pictures up over time.

And of course, cleavage photos were a must because it would be a utter waste to wear one so tight and not appreciate one’s boobs, cmon.

I finished after about an hour and took a long and immensely boring train ride (I don’t like MRTs very much) to Woodlands to do my nails and eat.

One thing I should probably take with me in life is that I should never under any circumstance wear a corset for the entire day because it would kill my back.

After Malaysia, I went back to work to help out and I thought my spine and ribs were going to dislodge themselves from my body and run away from me.

Always bring a change of clothes. Always. It was such a shame as well because the garment prevented me from eating much in Malaysia as well ):

Oh well. We win some, we lose some.

I was sitting at my usual bus stop and was thinking ‘I’m forgetting something’ then I realized I had this ridiculous stash of pictures from um, everywhere that I have yet to dump upload onto my blog.

Anyway, I’m not that late this time in reporting what has been up with me. I always tell you guys I have tons of things going on (which is true btw) but I feel bad because nothing really appears on my blog. Hell, I’d think I’d led a hella boring life if I read back on my posts.

I’ll start with the oldest set of pictures. My costest photos.

I got my tailored costume a good month before I could even get to test them. I felt so horrible because I did promise my tailor pictures when I got a change to take them but when I finally got to it, I was too lazy to put on make up so the whole set lost abit of its charm. I told her I’d get her better pictures which was for AFA and that was… another month away.

TLDR, it took my tailor two months before she got model pictures from me. But in my defence, I was really extremely exhausted from work and life (so much for work-life balance) and all I really wanted to do was sleep. At least we all know that Cherie may forget things but remembers them eventually and when she does, she acts on it. So you would still get what you ask for… just within an nth period of time.

AFA15 was a day before my birthday (oh yeah I’m 21 now) and eventhough I took the entire weekend off for AFA, competition shoots and ultimately my birthday, I was exhausted. I’m surprised I even managed to don my costume on Sunday because I had a late night the night before and even overslept on the day of AFA.

I met up with Dom, Carlos and Vivi at Suntec City and meant to walk around with them but I ended up losing them within the first 20minutes because all of us were being stopped for pictures.

Here’s a picture with Vivi and her epic boob baring suit. She was really challenging the CHC Church Auntie* this year.

I would have included photographer pictures, if only had bothered to look for any this year at all. Like damn, I really need a coscard and fast.

Photos this year were much lesser since I only appeared on the third day of AFA. All my friends normally went on the second day because that was when most of the photographers were out and about.

Either way, I couldn’t stay long anyway because my shoes started murdering my feet within the first 2 hours of me flouncing around in it, so much that I turned into a magic girl with a limp.

Another reason why I changed was because I had to get to work in the evening that day, so if you counted the hours I spent at AFA, you’ll find that it makes sense why I barely took any pictures at all. I did manage to hit all the free photo printing booths by Cannon, so that’s good enough for me 😛

I really liked this wig so I kept it on for the rest of the time I spent at the con.

Spotted a kill la kill kid-coser who donned a sword bigger than her. And it wasn’t one of those foam shaped ones. It was an actual heavy plastic sword. If there was a replica of this sword, this would probably be it.

Perhaps one of the more awesome things about changing out during a con is finally being able to take pictures with other cosplays without it turning into this weird costume crossover.

I attempted to boob-grab vivi but she evaded.

But I ended up being the one harressed.

Also managed to find my fav kid-coser in the crowd dressed as Captain America, probably celebrating Avengers: Civil war early.

Dom and Carlos were dressed as Hydra agents and they decided to stage this picture of Cap beating them to a curb and if this isn’t the cutest photoset of this post then I don’t know what is.

I hurried off after that picture was taken to find an early dinner before taking a bus down to work @_@

People have been asking me why I work so damn much recently and it’s not like they’re exaggerating. I guess I’m sort of a workaholic? Or maybe I just have so little direction and drive in life that I feel working is the only logical thing I should do with my time.

Basically, I’m bored and extra money is pretty fab till I figure out what to do with it.

My bus ride is ending, which means work is less than ten minutes away.

Here comes and extremely long overdue post that I will over ride with pictures.

So, about a month back (a whole month) I cosplayed as Psylocke for Atom Comics at The Cathay. It was a helluva lot of fun and I took so many pictures with people my head spun.

We even had Joker and Harley Quinn cosplayers, who really were just friends from the shop.

P.S, I love her corset.

Not forgetting photography students looking to submit pictures for their assignments helped take pictures! Altogether a win-win.

It started out relatively slow at first and not many people walked in at 2pm so I ran around the mall taking pictures with, well, everything.

People did ask about the scar on my leg and nothing felt cooler than telling them it was a battle scar from fighting. You know, because I had to be in character and stuff.

Then Spidey came and stole all my thunder because The Amazing Spiderman 2 just came out in cinemas. Everyone went mad when they saw him. A few even screamed LOL.

Behold, I have no ass.

Pardon all these ‘same-face’ pictures. I’m not Nicki Minaj, I don’t have a hundred and one expression. I probably wouldn’t look good in three quarters of them.

DSC_0022_2 DSC_0023_3 DSC_0024_2 DSC_0025_3

After awhile it started getting pretty crowded so I had to get out of the shop.

DSC_0026_2 DSC_0027_2

But not before….

DSC_0028_3 DSC_0029_1   DSC_0032_2

And this, my friends, is the owner of Atom Comics. Very nice…

Sometimes very douche-y. But still getting the girls 😛

I haven’t forgotten to mention that this Spidey is an amazing cosplayer, have I?

DSC_0036_2 DSC_0037_2

After walking afew rounds round the mall, we went back up and the shop was more crowded than before so…

We decided to play around with a white background beside the shop to entertain ourselves and…

DSC_0039_2 DSC_0040_3

Attract attention.

DSC_0043 DSC_0044_1

Besides stealing my thunder, Spidey also stole all the girls.

I’m not the only one looking at that ass, right?

DSC_0047_1 DSC_0048_2  DSC_0050_2 DSC_0051_1

Eventually all the shop’s cosplayers arrived! So we cam-whored

DSC_0052_2 DSC_0053_3 DSC_0054_1 DSC_0055_2

And people joined us.

Oh and Spidey did this really cool jump shot.

Then photobombed my picture with my babe, Cheryl.

Since there was a similar event going on downstairs and it was crowded there as well, we moved out into the open to take more pictures and attract more attention.

DSC_0061_1 DSC_0062_2 DSC_0063_2

And I got these really pretty pictures taken 😀

DSC_0064_3 DSC_0065_4

Cheryl and Wonder Woman 😀

And a rather candid shot.

Then a Guardians of the Galaxy spoof.

DSC_0068_4  DSC_0070_3

We got tired and sat down for some waffles and ice cream.

And it was back to cam-whoring!

DSC_0073_2 DSC_0076_3

Yet another pretty picture :>

Bruce came down to tell us to go back up. I mean, look how angry he looks. Trying to pick a fight with superheros of all people.

I kid.

He was just wondering where we were.

On my way back to the store or out of the sun, I attempted to seduce Batman. I don’t think it worked tho…

So we decided to just go crazy and take photos with each other as well as the other event’s cosplayers! 😛

Helloooooo, Ironman 😉

My Godbrother passed by too 😀

5 hours of standing later, I finally sat down and God help me, if that doesn’t look like I’m fully content, I don’t know what it looks like.

But I still had to stand up for more pictures.

DSC_0119_2 DSC_0120_2

At the end of the day, my friend Kyle, who had been helping out the entire day was down and out.

While Bruce’s mom was nice enough to buy me strawberry jam marshmellows!

There are a few adjustments I’d like to make for Psylocke, mainly for her obvious purple hair. I’m working on it! In the meantime, she wouldn’t (or shouldn’t) be making an appearance till AFA’14, when I finally get her sorted out.

Asia Cosplay Meet ’14

^Behold! My all time favourite picture of ACM14!

I’m a little late in posting this one, but it doesn’t matter much. Does it?

Last month, I was present at a Cosplay Meet at Marina Bay Sands for the annual ACM14, formerly known as CureFest.

On the day itself, it was really hot out but I was rather thankful for it (I guess) since my gloves were falling from my arms while my boot covers were slipping from my legs. I was really sticky and warm under my costume, so un-sexy. Why, you ask?

It’s really simple, really. I was ready to dedicate my entire year (and probably the following years to come) to Marvel and DC cosplay. Then I realized that that would mean I’d miss out on tons of really fun cosplay conventions and I didn’t want that.

But I didn’t have a costume and the convention (ACM14) was two weeks away.

So I did what any sane cosplayer would do. I borrowed a costume from a friend.

Originally, I was supposed to be Snow Miku, from the Volcaloid series but I could fit everything but the top that went round my ribcage (stupid ribcage!). It didn’t help that the material wasn’t the least stretchy.

So in came Plan B, Cloche Leythal Pastalia.

Have you heard of her? Because till the day I had to cosplay her, I had no clue and I have never been so embarrassed in my life, cosplaying a character I don’t know a thing about.

It was a good thing though, that my friend had a really strong cosplay for her. He had a sword and everything. Oh yeah. Forgot to mention that my friend cross-plays. Cool, huh?

The only problem was that on the day itself (because he swore that I could fit it), the chest area was too big for me. Talk about a reverse bitch slap from life.

Either way, we ended up safety pinning at least two inches of fabric together so that the top of the dress didn’t simply flop off my body. When disaster was finally (or seemingly) averted, I peered down and found the front of the chest area seriously lacking. Or should I say, I found my chest area seriously lacking. I’d never been so self conscious of my boobs in my life, if anything, I’d been proud of them. After being comforted by said friend after he had peered down my then-non-existent cleavage, I realized that it was probably because of all the safety pinning that the front part bunched up.

That being said, I proceeded to maniacally double-sided tape the costume to myself, in hopes that I wouldn’t end up giving some random photographer a really gross boob shot.

The boot covers and gloves were elastic but my body decided to just be too skinny to fit any of them properly.

I’m at that stage, you see. Not fitting anything that has the generic S-M-L sizing and ripping all my stockings.

I had to take public transportation like this. Que eye roll.

^ I managed to find a friend I made on instagram! So much for don’t talk to strangers, that’s a loophole right there.

A few things I should learn by now, is that a lot of people may take your photos at the event but it doesn’t mean that you’ll find them online after everything! I’ve got to start bribing my friends to tag along and take photos of me soon 😦 If not I’d have to go to organized photoshoots, which are sometimes very dodgy especially if you don’t remember the guy. I haven’t tried those yet and I’m not about to.
I’ve been searching high and low, forum to forum for my pictures but it turns out that I can’t find any! Have I been cut out from the crop? ): So demoralizing!

Then again, I only went from Day 1 from 1pm – 4pm so… I’m actually just trying to make myself feel better. Lol.

Sigh. I’m very happy with what I’ve found though, but if anyone recognizes me, please comment below, okay? I’d love to update this post!

Most of my pictures were either taken from my friend’s phone or from Flickr, when the photographer gave me his name card.

Either way, I had a really great time.

Dear Photographers,

Look out for me next time, okay? Let’s be friends~ :>
